Ellie's Blessing Day 2/6/11

Roly Poly

Jack and Addie were painting in the living room on the tablecloth we spread out for them. I left to wash out Addie's paintbrushes and I heard Jack yelling. I came in to find Ellie rolling over his picture! She rolled over it multiple times. I think her head was kind of stuck in the paint. Jack was really mad, but I thought it was pretty funny! She had a bath right after the pic was taken!

Quotes

Addie: Refers to herself as 'the ruffy (otherwise known as a dog)'.
"The Ruffy has a musnash (mustache)!"
"Mom, are you frustrated?" (me: "no") "Oh, I'm Tasha."
"Are we going to nurshweetie (nursery)?"
Currently, Addie is eating ice cream with her hands.
Ellie: "da, da, da,da,da"

Jack: While playing 'pirate games'..."There's a twinkle star-ar-ar!"
Any time we do a craft Jack says, "This is the best day ever!"
"Mom, I put my seatbelt on so you wouldn't be mean" (I explained I wasn't being mean, just asking him for some help and it hurts my feeling when he says I'm mean) "I know it hurts your feelings. I just said mean because it rhymes with frustrated." (me: no it doesn't) "Oh, I forgot."

These days, Addie carries a baby and her diaper bag with her everywhere she goes. She brought her baby and diaper bag (containing: diapers, bib, 2 types of food, a spoon, 2 blankets, and a burp cloth)with her to playgroup on Wednesday. She kept getting frustrated because it was too much for her to carry, but she wouldn't give up anything. Once we got there, she stopped every few minutes because, "uh oh, babies cryin, she's hungry." Then she gets the food out and takes care of business. She's a good little mommy. (a little bossy though. She likes to try and put Jack in time out, and is always telling him what he can and can't play with).

The other day, Jack started playing with Addie's diaper bag. She ran into the room and yelled, "Jackson Marie!! Jackson Aanerud!"

Ellie Belle has found her hands. Its pretty darn cute! She'll sit and stare at them all day. If you hold objects in front of her face, she'll try really hard to get it, but her hands just won't do what she tells them to. It takes her a minute or two to actually reach for things she wants...except for her mouth. Her hands seem to gravitate toward her mouth whether or not she wants them to.
